True Happiness
At HealthCare Too we have always considered financial health as part of the holistic approach to health. After all, finances are a leading cause of stress among all generations. We thought we may well be the only ones who thought this way… until a Transamerica commercial about True Happiness caught our eyes.
Whether we think about it or not, our health and wealth are linked. The better we are today, the better we’ll be in the future. So let’s change our habits now, while they really matter. And when we go over the hill, let’s go with momentum. Let’s go with a 401k busting at the seams and ticker thundering away. Forget the slow march into old age, let’s charge into retirement at full steam. Let’s be better for wear. Because when we care about our bodies and saving today, we’re really just working towards a better tomorrow. Be well. Build Wealth.
Some Stats
Transmerica seems to have done some homework too! They list a number of statistics (yeah… we all know about liars, damned liars, and statisticians) to help consumers understand the need for financial health:
- Exercising 20 minutes per day leads to “dramatically lower healthcare costs”
- Working out at a gym 3 times per week is associated with higher pay
(sure… correlation is not causation) - Those who save 10% of their pay have less anxiety
Transamerica’s commercial is still focused on physical health but it does open the door to thinking about health more holistically and getting to True Happiness. Good start!
